The Belgian Shepherd/Groenendael has a heavy outer coat that is long, straight and medium in length, along with a dense under coat. Grooming should include daily combing and brushing, and mats should be clipped after they've formed. This dog is a heavy seasonal shedder, though some additional shedding occurs throughout the year, and extra attention is needed during the shedding seasons. Speak to a pet grooming specialist.
